Mission Statement
The role of the WOW Committee is to encourage, guide and support everyone who wishes to inspire, organise and participate in fundraising events or other initiatives for Wamberal SLSC.
All aspects of fundraising rely of personal relationship’s, therefore we believe that informing people of our role within the community; the amount it costs and our reliance on donations; sponsorship and fundraising is fundamental to our success.
Guidelines
Members of the WOW Committee are to nominate and elect a Chairperson and Secretary at an AGM, these positions being held for a period of one year only.
To meet once a month at a chaired and minuted meeting to share ideas, inspire creativity, and organise major fundraising events or initiatives to benefit Wamberal SLSC and it’s role within our community.
All persons involved with or attending WOW committee meetings are to be financial members of Wamberal SLSC.
All meetings are to follow set format with an agenda; will be conducted within a set time frame by the Chairperson; and minutes recorded and distributed by the Secretary to all committee members.
Subcommittees will be formed at these meetings to organise smaller events and/or initiatives, and the co-ordinator of these are to report progress at each of the monthly meetings.
Financial status of the WOW Committee to be presented each month at the meeting by the Clubs’ Administrator.
Minutes of the WOW Committee meetings to be presented to Director of Administration for submission at monthly Executive Board of Directors meeting.
Maintain an open communication network, welcoming and encouraging all input from the community and WOW Committee members.
Lastly, and most importantly, food and “beverages” are an essential requirement at each meeting to help create a relaxed yet controlled atmosphere where fundraising inspiration and creativity are generated and harnessed for the benefit of Wamberal SLSC.
